Sea Edge Beachside Hotel is an independent oceanfront hotel on Parksville Beach, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Nerval manufactured and supplied the guestroom case goods — upholstered panel headboards, nightstands, dressers and TV units with open shelving, and desks — completed in 2025.

The Challenge

A guestroom a few steps from the sand.

Every room at Sea Edge opens onto the beach, so the furniture lives with salt air, sea humidity, sand and wet swimwear coming through the patio doors. Our team specified the case goods for those conditions: a sealed, moisture-resistant core under hard-wearing laminate faces, with every edge closed in colour-matched PVC edgebanding so moisture has no way in. The result is furniture that keeps its finish season after season, not just on opening day.
